I have simply fallen in love with the clocks that have arrived.  I have one on my vanity bench in the bathroom – now I have no reason to be running late for anything and cannot use the excuse of  “I couldn’t see the clock.”  Another little treasure that I have invested in – but no picture shown sorry – is the Bross Tray. It’s a little silver tray measuring approx  17cm x 10cm and it is great for putting in small jewellery items, watches, rings, cuff links and bracelets onto whilst in the bath / shower.

This side tables’ tray and legs have beautifully etched designs featured on them and can be used as a telephone, refreshments, lamp or bedside table and if space is an issue – the legs fold away and the tray has a hook on the back so that it can be hung as a wall decoration. Now thats versatile and only $149.95 it’s also a fantastic buy.

To All Mums and Other Special & Significant Ladies in Our Lives

 ”HAPPY MOTHERS DAY”

Listening to the ABC’s Word Watch the other day the discussion was about old sayings that your mother / grandmother would use  that ultimately made no sense, but used so often were embedded in our memory for life. One, that  wasn’t as reknown as most but hit a chord with the announcers and myself was

Q: “What’s that Mum???”   
A: “A big fat silver nothing wrapped in brown paper !!!!! ” 

I loved it but  have re-worded it a little to

“A big fat silver nothing, filled with LOVE and wrapped in brown paper” 
now that’s more like it…. so if you get nothing else be it for mothers day or any other day if you were presented with a  a box wrapped in brown paper with a special note attached  – perfect  (:-)

Old sayings there are so many and of course each family will have their own quirky verses as i know my father did - I think I’ll defintiely share them in another blog soon, maybe you could share one of yours………………..
