Chosen View – A Bygone Era
Posted in Brisbane, Place of Interest on August 5th, 2010 by HSTuesday I finally got into the city to visit the Museum of Brisbane where they're showcasing a wonderful collection of Glass Slide images of daily life and activities taken by Alfred Henry Elliot, a Brisbane resident and photograher. The collection is called Chosen View. The glass slides were discovered in 1983 under a house in Red HIll neatly packed in cigar boxes.
There were some images of the voting / polling booths back in 1899. Considering are elections are the hot topic of the day I thought it very appropriate to put this image first.

There are so many more images to view, but I don't want to spoil it by showing them all to you, it's definitely worth the visit into the Museum of Brisbane at 157 Ann Street, open Monday – Friday, 10.00 am – 5pm
